Biography
Qiang Zhang has his expertise in evaluation of risk of floods and droughts, modelling of hydrological and meteorological extremes. His achievements include finding of nonstationarity in occurrence rates of precipitation extremes and effects of topographical characteristics on spatial patterns of precipitation extremes. Besides, he proposed detrending methods in multi-scale detrending fluctuation analysis which make feasible application of MDFA in modelling of hydrometeorological series. Moreover, he achieved new finding of clustering phenomenon of precipitation extremes and this finding can help to development human understanding of clustering phenomenon of floods and droughts.
